Warranty

As quality is important for Mrs Strugnell Boutique, each piece goes through a rigorous quality process by our suppliers and come with a warranty.

The warranty covers the gold, steel and silver plating only and is valid for 6 months from the purchase date. For the warranty to be valid it is necessary that special care has been applied when wearing or handling your jewellery, otherwise the warranty will be void.

Special Care

Taking good care of your jewellery is an important step to observe to ensure durability.

When you are not wearing your jewellery, we recommend that you store it in a box, case or pouches avoiding contact with dust. Clean your jewellery often with a dry soft cloth.

Tarnishing is a natural process that occurs with plated jewellery over time. We advise our customers to take good care for a prolonged life of your Mrs Strugnell jewellery. Here are some steps to observe:

  • avoid contact with sea water, chlorine, hot tubs, perfumes, creams, make up and chemical products in general.

  • Wear your jewellery last, after you applied creams, make up and perfumes

  • Sweat, body creams and oils can impact gold/silver plating. Wipe your jewellery down or clean it often to avoid these pollutants

  • Remove jewellery before swimming, exercising, showering/bathing or sleeping

  • Use clean hands (free from creams, chemicals, make up, etc) when handling your jewellery

  • Use a jewellery polish cloth to keep the appearance of your jewellery in good condition.

  • Avoid layering your gold/silver plated jewellery as friction and rubbing will cause the piece to wear down quickly and to eventually flake off.

Stones and pearls have different degrees of hardness and can be scratched when in contact with hard surfaces, against other jewellery or sharp objects.

Plated Jewellery

Gold/Silver plating is a process where a thin layer of gold/silver is bonded onto a base metal. Gold plated jewellery uses a thin layer of gold but it is not solid gold or silver and therefore is commonly used on costume jewellery.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Broken pieces

  • Lost stones

  • General wear and tear, improper handling or lack of care of the product

  • Damages caused by repairs, or adjustments carried out by a third party

  • Lost or stolen goods or parts
